2008 May 31: First flowers today, a few in the back. June 16: Almost completely finished.
2007 April 23: Budding. May 18: Flowering beautifully in front. Of course in back they were pruned too short to flower this year.
2006 May 16: They are in flower. The bush by the front door is the most advanced. 24: I sprayed the lilac in front of the north windows with Round Up.
I think cedars would suit the location better. August 1: I had the bush at the back cut back
and thst together with the extremely dry weather has made it look very poor.
The plants in front of the north window are now showing extremely small new green buds.
2005 April 18: They are leafing out. May 28: In flower.
2004 June 6: In flower now.
2003 April 22: Budding. 25: Flower buds are visible. May 17: The buds began opening today.
2002 June 3: The buds opened today.
September 7: Doing well.
2001 May 1: They are budding.
May 19: They are in flower.
2000 April 6: They are budding in back of the house.
30: The plants near the garbage stand
are covered with flower buds.
May 8: Some buds are open.
26: The flowers are fully open now, and will fade now.
June 2: Actually, the flowers lasted much longer!
1999 April 13: They are budding in front of the house.
The buds are large and green, but no separate leaves are out yet.
25: The buds on the plants in the back are opening,
showing flowers or leaves to be.
May 16: They are coming into flower now.
August 3: Flourishing.
