January 13: Doing satisfactorily on the window ledge. It has 38 leaves and no flowers.
May 18: Its last leaves fell off today. It suffered greatly during my 3 month absence.

April 21: Doing satisfactorily on the window ledge. It has 40 leaves and 15 blossoms, and is showing signs of iron chlorosis.
August 8: Doing ok on the ledge. 48 leaves, no blossoms, no chlorosis in the new leaves.
 
1999
June 5: Almost hardened off. There are only 21 leaves, and some of those are small and pale with dark veins. There are no flowers.
9: Set out in the garden.
June 30: Still alive. Little change.
August 3: A fair number of healthy new leaves.
31: The same.
September 15: I brought it in. Almost all the soil around it fell off, leaving very few roots. Perhaps it didn't have many outside anyway.
November 21: Doing ok indoors. The young leaves are still there.

March 17: Still flowering, leaves still pale with dark veins.
June 1: Still flowering, few leaves.
 
1997
March 16: Has flowered beautifully all winter.
April 20: Looks poorly, only a few leaves.
May 14: Many leaves, but what looks like chlorosis.
May 10: Iron chelates
June 11: Recovering
December 18: The same again.
 
1996
May 4: It did well in its larger pot, flowering a lot with not many leaves.
June 21: Set out.

May 17: It recovered well when the spring light came.
31: Planted out, after hardening off.
July 7: Doing well, in flower.
 
1994
June 21: In garden for the summer. It seems to be growing some large strong leaves.
September 5: Brought in. Unfortunately many roots were lost; it needs a large pot.
  9: Barely recovered.
 
1993
August 1: I brought a small bougainvillea back from Vancouver from Wong's Nursery.
September 3: I brought in the plant. It has some new small pinkish leaves.
October 16: Flowering beautifully. The pinkish leaves of September 3 became ordinary leaves. Flower leaves were much pinker.
