January 1: None this year in my own garden.

May 27: I bought 12 plants in cherry or white at Ron Paul's Garden Center, $3.29 for 4, and put them in the boxes.
 
2006
May 22:  I bought 8 Showstopper Burgundy plants and put them in the deck boxes.
August 1: Doing well as long as they get their water.
 
2005
April 19:  All the plants that I brought in died. Probably too cold and dark in the north window.
May 25:  I bought 12 Tutti Frutti plants from Rona and put them in the boxes.
July 7:  Flowering nicely.
October 4:  Ditto.
 
2004
March 5:  I started 18 seeds on top of soil mix in 9 cells.   I put them in a plastic bag in a drawer in the dining room for their first 2 days.
11:  One seed is showing a tiny rootlet.
21:  About 9 seeds have sprouted but growth is very slow.
April 10:  I discarded the first cells.   The sprouts never developed at all then died.
June 6:  I put some that I bought at Rona into the deck boxes.
July 30:  Doing nicely.   I have missed some waterings and am surprised at how drought resistant they are.
October 18:  They put on a very nice show all summer. I have brought one box in.

December 9:  Seeds arrived from Stokes, one package of 50 seeds of Infinity Mix, $4.15.
